Durable Materials with Classic Design
Thoughtfully designed, the task/desk light features a sturdy matte-black base with a metallic arched neck and an adjustable, acrylic shade that directs light to the specific task. The base of the light houses the power switch, as well as the D/C to A/C conversion, so there are no external power packs to block A/C receptacles.
The Science Behind Lighting Design
Energizer considered two important lighting factors when designing the Glas collection task/desk light: How much light output is needed (lumens) What color does the light output need to be (correlated color temperature or CCT) Energizer developed the Glas collection task/desk light with 250 lumens of light output because of the need for directional bright light when working on a task, especially close up. Energizer also included a CCT of 4000, which is near the middle of the CCT spectrum. This light color is meant to help more with tasks vs. providing ambiance.
